The NCC unit of the college is attached to 1 Goa Bn NCC. It is a stong contingent of 80 cadets headed by Capt. (Dr.) Vinod Joshua, and includes boys as well as permitted number of girl students. Besides the unit registers students from neighbouring colleges as cadets. The NCC unit of S. S. Dempo College has history of producing the most disciplined cadets who have always provided their services to the state government by participating in parades including Goa Liberation Day Parade, Guard of Honour, election duties, and initiatives on environment protection. Our students have also achieved accomplishment of being part of prestigious Republic Day Parades on several occasions.

7th July 2015- Officiating Commanding Officer Col. Sanjay Nagi visited the college and gave a talk on careers in Armed Forces and advantage of joining NCC.

Report of the NCC Unit for the Academic Year 2013-14
  • The academic year started with the Orientation for the NCC cadets in the month of July 2014. Col Nand Kishore, Commanding Office or 1 Goa BN NCC was invited to address the prospective cadets. Some of the important activities during the year were as follows.

  • Nikhil Naik, Manjuath, Ramchandra and Sarita Bi attended Basic Leadership Camp in Mysore in the month of August 2014. The camp emphasized on the necessity of basic leadership qualities.

  • 29 cadets attended Annual training Camp held at Parye, Sattari in October-November 2014. Our Cadets won first prize in Volleyball and second prize in kit layout

  • Faizal Ali, Kislay Kumar, Rohit Yadav, Sarita Bi and Rajnish attended Republic Day Camp at Hubli in the month of September 2014. This camp is held to introduce the cadets to the upcoming Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. Sarita Bi and Rohit Yadav are shortlisted to attend the Republic Day Parade 2015.

  • Our Cadets participated in Liberation Day parade on 19th December 2014.
